Guitars:
Fender Stratocaster, Made in Japan ca. 1984. “Ol’ Blue.” I’ve had this
thing since I was a kid. MIJ strats are killing, especially the ones from
the 80’s.
1974 Fender Strat. “Babz.”A
great sounding, resonant guitar. Recorded ˝ the tunes on my album,
Seersucker on this; and 90% of the tunes on Bald Walter’s Curve
with it. The original frets are pretty worn, and agitate my Carpal Tunnel.
Seriously considering a refret so I can play it as much as I used to.
2001 Gibson Les Paul
Florentine. “Georgia.” Super-cool, uber-rare, semi-hollow Les Paul. Think a
cross between a 335 and a Paul. Great for Jazz and Fusion. The other half of
my cd is this thing.
Amps:
1972 Fender Deluxe Reverb. Non-master silverface amp with a Pyle Driver
(same speaker Derek Trucks uses in his Super). The ultimate club amp,
lightweight, killer tone, not ridiculously loud
Mesa F-100. The
outdoor gig amp. This thing cranks. Ridiculous tone, sounds soooo good. Very
loud and very heavy, usually only play it for outdoor gigs.
Effects:
Multiple Ibanez TS-9’s
Ridiculously rare
ST-9, the Super Tube Screamer (only made a few years in the early 80’s,
mostly sold in Europe, additional mid boost knob, kinda like a TS-9 on
crack).
RAT
MXR Phase 90-
Original Script-logo BUD box phase 90. First year of production (1974).
Maxon PT-999. Backup
for the Phase 90.Close but no cigar.
Moog MF-101 Low-pass
Filter—envelope filter.
Maxon AD-900—Is there
a better delay out there?
Keeley Compressor-
ROSS compressor clone.
Fulltone Deja-Vibe2—Univibe
clone. Machine Gun!!!
Line 6 Echo Park. I
know, I know. I only bought it because it has a “backwards” setting, so you
can get that late 60’s Hendrix/Beatles thing going. The “analog” and “tape”
settings aren’t bad at all. I won’t mind using it as a backup for the
AD-900.
